    The Raiders took care of business last week with a 58-21 win at Quinlan to improve to 7-1 on the season and 3-0 in district games. Offense, defense, and special teams were firing on all cylinders for the Raiders, who had 377 yards of total offense15 tackles for loss, and a 52-yard field goal. 


Top Offensive Performers- 

  • Jr. QB Cayson Maupin- 14 for 18, 227 passing yards & 3 TD’s, 4 for 29 and 1 TD on the ground 

  • Sr. RB Jaden Cross- 4 carries for 60 yards and 1 TD rushing, 3 catches for 55 yards 

  • So. Aydin Brown- 7 carries for 42 yards and 1 TD 

  • Sr. Ben Griffin- 2 catches for 70 yards and 1 TD 

  • Jr. Hudson Leonard- 3 catches for 44 yards and 1 TD 


Top Defensive Performers- 

  • Jr. Stephan Wilson- 11 total tackles, 1 tackle for loss 

  • Sr. Jude Miles- 10 total tackles 

  • Sr. Drew Gardner- 12 total tackles, 1 interception 

  • Jr. Logan Long- 9 total tackles, 1 tackle for loss 


Top Special Teams Performers- 

  • Sr. Gabe Pendyala- 7/8 PAT’s, 52-yard field goal, and 2 punts downed inside the 2-yard line 


    Sunnyvale will take on the Wills Point Tigers this week. Wills Point is 3-5 so far this yearIf Sunnyvale can take care of business this week and get a win, they will improve to 8-1 on the season and be undefeated in district play. Assuming Canton and Sunnyvale win this week, their matchup in the final week of the season will be for the District Championship.
